The 2025 Belgian GP is the first live GP weekend since I started this project. And it's a tricky GP to have as the first one to analyze because it's not a regular F1 weekend: it's Sprint weekend.
I launched a project to apply data analytics on public Formula 1 data, combining two of the passions that drive me every day. I want to answer the question: is it possible to forecast race pace of a particular driver/team based on the data from the stints during the free practices?
More than 3 months since my last blog post. One 45-day Eurotrip in the middle. My trip was superb. However, I had no time to work on these side projects. Now that I'm back home, it's time to do some planning again and put some short-term milestones to gain momentum, now towards the end of the year.
Today my blog went live! I've been working on this for a couple of weeks, one appendicitis in the middle, and now it's finally live.
So, last Monday night I was feeling some stomach pains and I went to the ER. I didn't think it was too serious because I've had different kinds of stomach problems in my life. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've ONLY been in ERs in my life due to stomach issues. So I went to the ER expecting to be diagnosed gastritis or something like that, get some pain meds and go home on a diet.
Last month, I started a personal goal to release 12 side project ideas in 12 months. I have a -somewhat- long list of side project ideas that I've sworn myself to take to the finish line, but I have never been able to. Some of these are still just ideas, and others became projects that are now abandoned. Not anymore!
I just started this blog. I'm checking out a few things.
